Amplify the reach of your videos by publishing them natively to social media platforms.
Publish to Social Media allows you to connect Qiwio to your Facebook, Youtube, and LinkedIn accounts, providing the option to directly upload your video content to your social networks. By sharing your content natively on social, you can make use of the full functionality of each platform’s built-in video player to boost engagement with your content.
This feature currently supports publishing directly to Facebook pages, Youtube channels, and LinkedIn pages.
Connect your Social Accounts to Qiwio
To connect your social accounts to Qiwio, head over to Account → Settings → Integrations . Under Social Media Integrations, you can click on the desired platform and choose connect.
From there, you’ll be asked to approve Qiwio’s requested permissions on your social account. Once you allow these permissions, the integration will show as connected in Qiwio!
If you have access to more than one page on either of these platforms, make sure you’ve selected the one you’d like to publish to, then you’re all ready to publish!
Publishing your Videos
Once a social account has been linked to Qiwio, Go the video page of the video you want to share, then click the share button and you will see options to share to Facebook, LinkedIn or Youtube. From there you can edit the title and description of the post.
Qiwio vs Native Players
When you publish your videos to social, we’re directly uploading a video file to that platform. That means you won’t be seeing the Qiwio player there, you’ll instead be using the native players of each respective platform. This also means that your Qiwio-specific customizations won’t carry over.
So why publish to social if you don’t get the Qiwio functionality? Natively uploading videos to social means you can use the built-in functionality that might not be available with a Qiwio embed. Whereas the Qiwio player is great for driving traffic to your website, uploading to the native player on other platforms is great for other use-cases where you purely want to increase the visibility & reach of your content.
Here’s a list of features that won’t be included with your published videos on social:
- Appearance (player color, thumbnail, etc)
- Controls
- Video forms
- Calls-to-Action
- Questions
- Video funnels
- Video stats
- Marketing Integrations
If you’d prefer to keep these features, then you may want to share your video and use our Share Link to Social Media feature instead.
Share Link to Social vs Post to Social
As mentioned above, when using the post to social media feature, you will use the native video players of the social media platforms and lose the full functionality of the Qiwio player.
What if you want the full functionality of the Qiwio player to drive social media traffic?
Then the Share link to social media feature is the option for you. Using this feature instead, Qiwio will post a thumbnail image with a play button to social media and that image has a link to the video hosted in Qiwio. So when users on social media click your link, they will be directed to the video in a new tab that is hosted in Qiwio and you get the full functionality of Qiwio!
